Stephanie Patton

Stephanie Patton is a Faculty Athletic Mentor for both the volleyball and baseball teams.

Patton, an instructor of biology, began teaching at Averett in 2014. She earned a bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences from Averett in 2010 with minors in physical education and chemistry. She obtained her master's degree in human anatomy from the University of Dundee in Scotland in 2011.

Patton is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, where her parents currently live, and has a sister that lives in Virginia Beach and she visits throughout the summer. Patton was an outside hitter for Averett's volleyball team from 2006-2009, and also played volleyball at Dundee while she got her master's degree.

In her spare time, Patton enjoys watching sports and is an avid Carolina Panthers fan. She also enjoys coaching youth volleyball, traveling, hiking, kayaking and being outside in general. She hopes to visit every state along with as many countries as possible. Patton has a pitbull named Cooper who lives with her in Danville.
