Hayden Rader serves as an assistant coach with the Averett University's men’s and women’s cross country. He was hired as the part-time head coach of both programs in April 2020 before transitioning to an assistant coach role in Feb. 2021.
Rader joined Averett with experience as a personal triathlon and running coach in the Morgantown, West Virginia, and Danville areas. An avid runner, Rader was the team captain of his high school cross country program and helped lead varsity practices and organized team events.
Outside of coaching, Rader works as the water and gas chief engineer for the City of Danville. He graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor of science in petroleum and natural gas engineering in May 2018.
Rader resides in the Danville area along with his wife Abigail and sons Easton and Ezra.
