Tyler Brubaker

Tyler Brubaker joined Averett's football staff in the summer of 2014 as its wide receivers coach and assistant video coordinator

A native of Rocky Mount, Virginia, Brubaker comes to Averett after a four-year playing career at Ferrum College. Brubaker is beneficial asset to the staff and team offensively, having played running back, wide receiver, quarterback and also return specialist for the Panthers. As a team captain in 2012, Brubaker helped lead Ferrum to share a USA South Championship. During his senior season, he was a USA South All-Conference selection and was named the USA South Special Teams Player of the Week once that same year. He also earned a spot on the 2012 USA South All-Sportsmanship Team. Understanding the importance of success on and off the field, Brubaker received USA South Academic All-Conference honors multiple times and was selected to the 2012-13 Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) Academic All-State Team. He was also on the 50th Anniversary USA South football team. 

Brubaker, a 2013 graduate of Ferrum, is pursuing his master's of education degree from Averett.
