Tyler Easley joined the Averett University football program as a defensive backs coach in February 2023.
Easley came to Averett from Albright College, where he was a wide receivers coach and assistant to the passing game from May 2022 until joining the Cougars' coaching staff. Easley also gained experience as a volunteer assistant coach with his alma mater William Campbell High School in Naruna, Virginia, where he worked with defensive backs and wide receivers from 2018-2022.
Easley was a four-year member of the football program at then-Division III Emory & Henry College. He began his career at wide receiver before moving to defensive back. During his senior season, he played nine games and made nine tackles, made one interception and had one pass breakup.
A native of Gladys, Virginia, Easley earned his Bachelor of Arts in sports management with a minor in visual communication from Emory & Henry in May 2022. He is pursuing his Master of Business Administration from Averett.
