DaQuila Washington joined the Averett University Athletic Training staff as an assistant trainer in July 2018.
Washington returns to her alma mater after serving as an intern athletic trainer at Alabama State University, where she primarily worked with the football, baseball and men's and women's basketball programs.
Washington was a student trainer at Averett during her four years and earned athletic training's service award in 2016.
Washington was a four-year member of the women's basketball program at Averett, playing in 76 career games. She earned USA South Academic All-Conference honors three times and was named to the USA South All-Sportsmanship Team.
Washington graduated in May 2017 with a bachelor's degree athletic training from Averett. She is currently pursuing her master's of business administration from Averett.
