Cornelius Snow IV joined the Averett men's basketball program as an assistant coach in September 2014.
In his first season with Averett, Snow helped coached the Cougars to an 18-9 overall record, a 11-3 mark in the conference and the 2014-15 USA South Conference regular season championship. In 2015-16, Snow helped guide Averett to a 15-11 overall record while knocking off a Division II opponent and several solid non-conference foes from the competitive Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC). He has helped produce four USA South All-Conference selections, including two USA South First Team performers.
Snow also serves as Averett's men's and women's cross country head coach, a position he accepted in July 2015.
A native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Snow came to Averett after finishing a four-year playing career in men's basketball at N.C. Wesleyan College, where he played for Averett head coach David Doino, who was formerly an assistant at N.C. Wesleyan. As a men's basketball student-athlete for the Battling Bishops, Snow was a member of N.C. Wesleyan's back-to-back USA South Conference championship teams, including being a captain on the 2010-11 squad. Snow also succeeded in the class room, earning USA South Academic All-Conference honors in three times. He also was a member of the 2011-12 National Association of Basketball Coaches All-Academic Team.
Snow graduated from N.C. Wesleyan in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in accounting and business. He is pursuing his master's degree in business from Averett.
