Jonathan Thompson joined the Averett men’s basketball program as an assistant coach in June 2013.
A native of Hartland, Wisconsin, Thompson has gained valuable coaching experience at both Arrowhead and Oregon high schools in Wisconsin. He has also basketball camps at some of the premiere basketball programs in the country, including the University of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Thompson also serves as Averett's men's and women's cross country head coach. He married his wife, Christine, in June 2012, and they serve together as the staff advisers for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes student organization at Averett.
Thompson graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2010 with a degree in finance, and completed his Master of Business Administration from Averett in December 2014.
