KeShawn Lewis '22 was promoted to a full-time assistant coach role with Averett University men's basketball in August 2023 after serving as a volunteer assistant coach during the 2022-23 season while also working within athletics administration as a graduate assistant.
Lewis was a four-year member of the Averett men's basketball team from 2018-22, helping the Cougars win the 2022 USA South Conference's East Division regular season crown and USA South Tournament championship to send Averett to the NCAA Tournament. During his senior season, Lewis received the Dr. Frank Campbell Sportsmanship Award at Averett's Night of Champions and earned USA South Academic All-Conference honors multiple times.
A native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Lewis earned his bachelor's degree in computer information systems from Averett in May 2022. He is currently pursuing his master's of business administration from Averett.
