Averett University Athletics

Larry Henshaw is in his third year as an assistant coach at Averett after joining the men's basketball coaching staff prior to the 2010-11 season.

Henshaw played four seasons at Hampden-Sydney College. A native of Petersburg, Va., Henshaw graduated from Hampden-Sydney in May 2010 with a degree in mathematical economics.

In September 2012, Henshaw was also named as Averett's interim cross country coach.

He is married to the former Sara Mertins and resides in Danville.
