Pete Hamilton is in his second year with the Averett men's basketball program as an assistant coach after joining the Cougars before the 2011-12 season.
Hamilton was a four-year starter and two-year captain at Randolph College, where he finished his playing career as the program's all-time leading scorer. A member of the Randolph men's basketball program's first freshman class, Hamilton was also selected to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference All-Sportsmanship Team as a junior and helped his team advance to the ODAC championship game his senior year.
Hamilton's coaching experience includes work at numerous camps.
A native of Roanoke, Va., Hamilton graduated from Randolph in 2011 with a degree in business.
