Jeremy Gamba

Jeremy Gamba was named Averett University's director of golf in September 2024. Gamba took over the helm of Averett’s men’s and women’s golf programs after serving as an assistant golf professional from 2019-24 at The Cardinal by Pete Dye in Greensboro, North Carolina.

In his first season at Averett, Gamba guided the men's program to a team win at the Chick-fil-A Invitational hosted by Berry College and had one individual winner on the women's side at the Southern Virginia University Knights Invitational. On the men's side, the Cougars were ranked throughout the season in the top 25 rankings by Scoreboard and in the Bushnell/Golfweek Division III poll. He also had Killian O'Reilly qualify as one of 10 individuals for the 2025 NCAA Division III National Championships while earning PING All-America Honorable Mention and PING All-Region honors, as well as Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) All-State First Team accolades. Overall, he produced two All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference selections with the men's program and one All-ODAC selection on the women's side.

Gamba is no stranger to Division III golf after playing collegiately at North Carolina Wesleyan University. Following his playing career, Gamba caddied on the Nationwide Tour for several years. Among the highlights during that time were a win at the Fort Smith Classic, a runner-up finish at the BMW Charity Pro Am and numerous top 10s. After his stint caddying on the Nationwide Tour, he returned home to Augusta, Georgia, where he caddied for five years at The Augusta National Golf Club — home of The Masters. During his tenure at The Cardinal by Pete Dye, Gamba received Employee of the Year two consecutive years while holding clinics and teaching golf.

Gamba earned his bachelor’s degree from N.C. Wesleyan in 2002.
