Michael Allen returned to Averett University as an assistant coach for men's and women's golf in September 2023.
Allen was a member of the Averett men's golf program from 2016-21, earning one career win and nine top-25 finishes during his career over 31 events. He finished with a 79.6 scoring average over 70 career rounds. He earned USA South Conference All-Sportsmanship Team honors multiple times, as well academic all-conference accolades.
After his collegiate career, Allen continued working in the golf industry.
A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, Allen earned his degree in sport management from Averett in 2020 and is completing his master's of business administration from Averett while coaching with the Cougars.
