Justin Sperringer started at Averett in the fall of 2018 as the Assistant Professor in Biological & Physical Sciences. A native of Morgantown, West Virginia, Sperringer received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University in 2012 and 2014 respectively. He is currently working on his Ph.D. in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise from Virginia Tech University and plans to be done in 2018 or 2019 depending on mentor status and availability.
Sperringer is a former hockey, lacrosse and judo athlete. He has been grappling (Judo) since 2008. His hobbies include hanging out with his dog Bruce, playing guitar, participating in judo and hiking.
