Daryl Goods was hired as Averett University men's soccer and women's soccer assistant coach in August 2026.
Goods most recently served as a soccer referee for the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) since January 2024. While in this position, Goods evaluated player performance and made timely decisions on fouls and penalties, managed game flow by communicating effectively with players, coaching and spectators, and enforced game rules and regulations to ensure fair play and sportsmanship.
Goods was previously the head coach for North Carolina Fusion Soccer Club from January 2024 to December 2025. While with the Fusion, he developed training programs enhancing player skills and teamwork dynamics, organized competitive schedules, evaluated individual performance, and mentored junior coaches.
Goods began his coaching career with N.C. Fusion as its academy soccer coach in January 2023.
Hailing from Danville, Virginia, Goods has attained both his Grassroots Coaching and N.C. Youth Soccer Coaches' License, and is certified by the Virginia State Referee Committee.
