Nate Barker joined the Averett men's soccer coaching staff as the goalkeeper coach in July 2013.
Barker played four seasons at Averett as its starting goalkeeper. Barker was named to the USA South All-Conference Second Team once and to the USA South All-Conference Honorable Mention Team three times. During his career, he helped Averett make four consecutive USA South Conference Tournament semifinals appearances. Barker compiled a 36-22-7 overall record with 14 shutouts in goal.
Barker has earned coaching experience through working various soccer camps. He also earned his Goalkeeping Level 1 diploma.
A native of Cave Creek, Ariz., Barker earned his bachelor's degree in physical education from Averett in 2013. He is currently working toward his master's degree at Averett.
