Carlos Lora joined the Averett University tennis coaching staff as an assistant coach in August 2018 after playing four years for the Cougars. Lora will assist with both the men's and women's tennis teams.
A three-time USA South Academic All-Conference selection and three-time USA South All-Sportsmanship Team selection, Lora served as a team captain for the Cougars' men's team. He finished with a 51-29 record in singles play and a 35-26 mark in doubles competition during his career at Averett. He also earned USA South Rookie of the Week once as a freshman.
A native of Gurabo, Puerto Rico, Lora graduated from Averett with a bachelor's degree in athletic training in May 2018. He earned his master's of business administration from Averett in May 2020.
