Jem Lowrance '24 returned to Averett University as the assistant coach for sports performance in August 2024.
Lowrance interned with the Averett sports performance staff during the 2023-24 year.
Lowrance was a three-year member of the Averett men's basketball team after transferring from Division II Wingate University. He played in 72 career games as a Cougar, earning USA South Conference Rookie of the Week once and helping Averett win the 2021-22 USA South championship and earn an NCAA Tournament berth. Lowrance also earned academic all-conference honors.
A native of Taylorsville, North Carolina, Lowrance earned his bachelor's degree in health and sports science. Lowrance is pursuing his master's degree in business administration from Averett.
