Matt Stillman joined the Averett University men's and women's volleyball programs as an assistant coach in July 2024.
A native of New Lenox, Illinois, Stillman played men's volleyball at Division III Trine University. A middle blocker, Stillman played in 280 sets over 83 matches during his four seasons. He totaled nearly 500 kills with 220 career blocks while helping Trine win the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) championship and earn a berth into the NCAA Tournament during his senior season. As a sophomore in 2022, Stillman earned MCVL All-Tournament Team honors.
In addition to his playing experience, Stillman interned with the Ball Sports Academy during spring 2024, and he was the volleyball director and a camp counselor at Camp Caribou in Maine during summer 2022.
Stillman earned his bachelor's degree in communications from Trine in May 2024. He's pursuing his master's degree in business administration from Averett.
