How Averett helped me:
"To this day, attending Averett and playing softball are two of the best decisions I have ever made. In my four years as a student-athlete, I was able to grow as a person, find my way, and meet friends who turned into family along the journey. There is no doubt in my mind that playing a sport at Averett taught me what hard work really is, to always get back up when you fall down and to never accept failure. I will forever call Averett my home away from home and I will forever be thankful for all the memories made."
