Dan Nadel

Danny Nadel joined the Averett men's and women's soccer programs as an assistant coach in June 2010.

Nadel comes to the Cougars after a highly successful two-year stint as the assistant coach at Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury, Conn. In that two-year period, Nadel helped to guide a struggling program that counted a total of four wins in the two seasons prior to his arrival all the way to the quarterfinals of the state tournament.

A 2008 graduate of Post University, Nadel played four seasons for the Division II Eagles' men's soccer team. Nadel was a four-year starter, logging more than 3,555 minutes in goal. He finished his career with a .750 save percentage. In 2008, he helped his team win the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference championship as the team captain and was consistently ranked nationally in the top 25 for saves, save percentage and goals against average.

In addition to playing, Nadel gained coaching experience while serving as an instructor at various youth summer soccer camps in the New England from 2001-2005.

The Farmington, Conn., native earned his bachelor's degree in English in December 2008. Nadel earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Academic Team honors all four years.

Nadel currently has licenses and diplomas from both the NSCAA and USSF. In addition to coaching, he earned his MBA from Averett in 2012.
