Laura Evans has served as an assistant on the Averett women's soccer coaching staff since 2012 after playing four seasons for the Cougars.
In 2012, Evans helped coach Averett to its first USA South Conference championship and NCAA Tournament berth in program history as the Cougars finished with a team-best 17-4 overall record, including 11-0 in the conference.
Evans gained coaching experience with the Commonwealth Soccer Programs as a camp instructor from 2010-2011 and also served as a travel coach for the Danville Soccer Club in 2012. She holds a USSF E License.
A native of Virginia Beach, Va., Evans served as a team captain during her senior season at Averett. She also earned USA South Academic All-Conference honors and was Averett's representative on the USA South All-Sportsmanship Team. She graduated from Averett in May 2012 with a double major in Sports Medicine and Coaching. She is currently working toward her MBA at Averett.
