Lauren Cowling joined the Averett University women's lacrosse staff as an assistant coach and communications specialist. in spring 2020.
Cowling was also an assistant coach for the women's soccer program for the 2019 season following a four-year playing career with the Cougars. She also serves as the program's communications and media relations specialist.
A native of Teddington, England, Cowling played 55 games for the Averett women's soccer program, making 40 starts. A defender, Cowling totaled two assists during her career. Off the field, she earned USA South Academic All-Conference honors in each of her four seasons.
Cowling graduated from Averett in 2019 with a degree in communications. In addition to her playing experience, she has helped coach Averett's youth summer camps.
