Nani Ventura joined the Averett University women's soccer program as an assistant coach in June 2019.
Ventura returns to Averett after she was a four-year member of the women's soccer team, where she played goalkeeper, defense and forward. At Averett, Ventura was a team captain in 2016 and was named to the USA South Conference All-Sportsmanship Team in both 2015 and 2018.
While at Averett, Ventura also assisted in the athletic training department and worked at Averett's library.
A native of Woodbridge, Virginia, Ventura earned her bachelor's degree in sports medicine with a minor in criminal justice from Averett in May 2019. She will be pursuing her master's degree in education with a concentration in instruction and curriculum.
