Sofia Minton joined the Averett women's soccer coaching staff as an assistant in May 2014 following a four-year playing career with the Cougars.
A native of Stockholm, Sweden, Minton appeared in 75 games at Averett, making 39 starts while totaling two goals and six assists. She also was a member of Averett's 2012 USA South Conference championship team. Off the field, Minton succeeded in the classroom by earning USA South Academic All-Conference honors multiple times.
She earned her bachelor's degree in physical education from Averett in December 2013 and currently is working toward her master's degree.
