Ashley Roberts joined Averett University's sports medicine staff as an assistant athletic trainer in June 2023.
Roberts completed her Master of Science in athletic training from the University of Virginia in May 2023 after earning her Bachelor of Science in health and human performance from Ferrum College in 2021.
Roberts gained clinical experience working most recently with Western Albemarle High School during the spring of 2023. She also earned clinical experience with Penn State University’s sports medicine team, working with women’s volleyball in the fall of 2022. Prior to that, Roberts worked with the University of Virginia’s men’s soccer program in spring 2022 and the women’s basketball program in fall 2021.
Roberts is a member of NATA and MAATA and is BOC certified.
A native of Lawrenceville, Virginia, Roberts played women’s volleyball during her time at Ferrum and was involved with Ferrum’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
