Caleb Harmon

Caleb Harmon was named Averett University's athletics administration graduate assistant in July 2022 after serving as an assistant coach for the Averett men’s wrestling program since August 2021.

Harmon returned to his alma mater following a four-year collegiate career with the Cougars. Harmon started throughout his four years and was an inaugural member of Averett’s wrestling program. He finished his career fourth all-time in program victories, as well as third all-time in major decisions and decisions and ninth all-time in tech falls. He graduated as the Cougars’ winningest wrestler at 149 pounds and helped the Cougars earn a national ranking two seasons in a row while finishing ninth as a team at the 2020-21 National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III national championships. As a senior, he went 10-1 in dual competition. Harmon twice earned the coaches award and once received the team’s service award. Harmon also succeeded off the mat, earning academic all-conference honors all four years.
 
In addition to his success on the mat, Harmon gained coaching experience as an assistant coach at Spotswood High School from 2015-17 prior to coming to Averett. He also served as a camp clinician and coach for two summers at the Ken Chertow Wrestling Camps in Pennsylvania.

A native of Chatham, Virginia, Harmon earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Averett in May 2021. He is pursuing his master of business administration from Averett.
