Kathy Lentz joined the Averett University Department of Athletics as its executive assistant and director of operations in August 2025.
With nearly 30 years of administrative assistant experience, Lentz also has experience in community athletics. She volunteered for nearly three decades with Pop Warner, serving in multiple board roles while coaching cheerleading for 10 seasons and coaching football for 23 seasons.
Lentz is no stranger to Averett Athletics. Her son, Bryan, is the men's lacrosse head coach and her two youngest sons play on the men's lacrosse team at Averett.
Originally from New Jersey, Lentz earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University, and she's pursuing a master's in business administration.
