Roland Norfleet III joined the Averett University football coaching staff as an assistant coach in July 2024. Norfleet coaches defensive backs.
A native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Norfleet finished his playing career at Averett, where he played linebacker and safety. Norfleet played in 13 games in his two seasons with the Cougars, making 25 tackles with 10 solo tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss and one sack. Prior to Averett, Norfleet played at Division II Shippensburg University.
Norfleet earned his bachelor's degree from Averett in May 2024 in exercise science. He's pursuing his master's degree from Averett.
