Tim Krotish was promoted to head coach of the Averett University women's basketball program in August 2025 after serving as an assistant coach with the program for two seasons.
After a storied high school coaching career, Krotish joined the Averett women's basketball program as an assistant coach prior to the 2023-24 season. Krotish was promoted to a full-time coaching role with the team in June 2024 after serving as a volunteer assistant coach during his first season with the program before eventually being named head coach in 2025.
Krotish came to Averett following a successful career as head coach of Eastern Alamance High School's girls' basketball team from 1993-2023 before retiring from teaching history in spring 2023. He served as the junior varsity head coach from 1993-94 before taking over the varsity program in 1994. He led the Eagles to numerous conference championships while consistently making the state playoffs. Krotish was also named coach of the year multiple times during his tenure. Also, he served as assistant athletic director at Eastern Alamance and also was an assistant coach for football from 1993-2003.
Krotish earned his bachelor's degree from Elon University in 1990 and earned his teaching certificate from North Carolina Central University in 1992.
