The Dr. Tommy Foster Male Student-Athlete of the Year was awarded to men's basketball senior Charles Bryant, who averaged 17.6 points and 10.4 rebounds a game while earning USA South All-Conference Player of the Year honors. The two-time USA South First Team selection also earned all-region and all-state honors this season after setting the Averett career rebounding record. He also finished fifth on Averett's all-time scoring list. In the class room, Bryant is a USA South Academic All-Conference selection who has averaged a 3.4 GPA over his last three semesters. Additionally, he has been involved with Special Olympics basketball clinics and other community service initiatives while also working the sports information department for four years.
