Women's soccer freshman Adriana Perez was selected as the USA South Conference's Rookie of the Week on Oct. 8. Perez, a forward from Woodbridge, Virginia, scored both game-winning goals last week for the Cougars. Against Salem, Perez scored the match's first tally in the 29th minute. In the 1-0 win at Meredith, Perez's goal with just under seven minutes remaining proved to be the clincher.
