The Averett football team returns to action Saturday when the Cougars open USA South Conference play with foe Methodist University at 6 p.m. at Daly Field.

Averett (0-3, 0-0 USA South) hasn't played since Sept. 19 after having a bye week and last week's game with LaGrange College canceled. Methodist (2-2, 0-1 USA South) is coming off a 29-23 loss at Maryville College last weekend.
