Johanna Ohrnberg missed only one shot all afternoon as she booted five goals in to lead the Averett University women's soccer team past Mary Baldwin University in a 12-0 shutout on Saturday.

After just over two minutes of play, senior winger
Katie Abelseth sent a cross to the left side to Ohrnberg, who slid the ball between the posts, to put the Cougars ahead 1-0. Ohrnberg scored all five of her goals in the first half to tie her career-high and guide Averett (6-3, 4-2 USA South) to an 8-0 lead by halftime.

In the second period, freshman midfielder
T'era Brown and sophomore defender
Eimear Reddin maintained the momentum with their first career goals, extending the lead to 10 as the Cougars went on to snag their fourth conference win. Mary Baldwin (0-11, 0-6 USA South) only attempted three shots all game.

Annalies Jobsis also finished with two goals while junior forward
Amanda Gustavsson added one goal and two assists.

The Cougars resume conference action on Sunday, Oct. 2, as they travel to Ferrum College for a 7 p.m. kick-off.
