The Averett University softball opens its 2016 season in Atlanta, Georgia, at the Emory University Invitational against two nationally ranked teams. Averett faces No. 3 DePauw University at 10 a.m. and host No. 18 Emory at 2 p.m.

Live stats will be available for both games through Emory. There will be a video broadcast for the Cougars' game against Emory.

Averett is coming off its 2015 USA South Conference regular season championship and NCAA Regional at-large berth.
