DANVILLE, Va. — Randolph College grabbed four first-half goals on its way to a 5-1 victory over the Averett University men's soccer team on Tuesday night at Daly Field.
Randolph (1-1) wasted no time getting on the board, picking up a goal from Travis Brown in the 10th minute on an assist from Troy Jurney. The WildCats picked up their second goal just over 10 minutes later when Adam Watson took a pass from Nate Juth and slipped in his shot to give Randolph a 2-0 advantage.
Watson picked up his second goal three minutes later and Gabe Krueger picked up his first of two scores to give Randolph a four-goal cushion in the 41st minute.
Averett (1-2) didn't hang its head though as sophomore

Tobias Andreasson on a free-kick pass into the box and Andreasson drilled his shot home to get the Cougars on the board to make it 4-1 going into the break.
Krueger recorded his second goal of the match at the 74:58 mark to round out the scoring.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Austin Bramhall picked up nine saves in goal for the Cougars.
Averett will have a chance to get back into the win column on Saturday when it hosts Berry College at 2 p.m. on Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell Stadium.
