Averett (7-12, 5-3 USA South) knocked off Piedmont College 81-71 on Sunday. Ferrum (10-9, 5-3 USA South) edged Greensboro College 68-66 last Wednesday. The Cougars, who have won five of their last seven, defeated Ferrum in Danville earlier this season.
