The Averett University softball team opens play at the three-day Triangle Classic in Cary, North Carolina, on Friday. The Cougars play Maryville College at 3 p.m. and Rowan College at 5 p.m.

Occasional updates for the Maryville game will be provided through the Averett Athletics Twitter (@AverettUCougars). There will be live stats and a video broadcast for the Rowan game, barring any internet connection issues.

Averett (1-3) is coming off a pair of losses last Friday at the Piedmont College Classic.
