The Averett University softball travels to play conference foe Methodist University in a 3 p.m. doubleheader Friday in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

The game was originally scheduled for Saturday in Danville. However, inclement weather in the forecast forced the game to be moved up a day and the location to be changed. Averett (7-17, 3-5 USA South) is coming off a pair of losses at William Peace University last Sunday. Methodist (7-21, 5-5 USA South) split with Ferrum College on Sunday.
