The Averett University softball team hosts foe N.C. Wesleyan College in the opening round of th USA South Conference Tournament on Friday. The two teams begin the best-of-three series with a 2 p.m. doubleheader at Cougar Field.
Live stats and video will be available for both games through the Averett Sport Network. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students and children. The first 100 Averett students are free with ID, as well as the first 50 Averett faculty and staff.
Games 1 and 2 of the best-of-three series will be played on Friday. If necessary, a third game will be played on Sunday at 1p.m.
Averett (14-20, 10-6 USA South) is the No.3 seed in the East Division while N.C. Wesleyan (21-13, 10-6 USA South) is the No.4 seed in the East Division. Averett ended its regular season with a split against Greensboro College, while N.C. Wesleyan split with Salem College.
