Volleyball drops opener of CNU Invitational to Virginia Wesleyan

Box Score NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Averett University volleyball lost a non-conference match, falling to Virginia Wesleyan University 3-0 on Friday at the Christopher Newport University Invitational.

Averettt (17-13) lost by scores of 25-20, 25-14 and 25-17 to Virginia Wesleyan (23-7). No individual stats or details were immediately available.

Averett takes on Salisbury University and host CNU on Saturday.
