The Series: Averett has a 10-16 mark all-time against Hampden-Sydney dating back to the 1978-79 season. The Cougars have won five of the lat eight meetings, but Hampden-Sydney won last year's contest 68-64 in Danville on Nov. 15, 2018.
Averett at a Glance:  Averett men's basketball travels to non-conference foe Hampden-Sydney College on Wednesday for the Cougars' second official game of the season. Averett lost an exhibition with Division I UNC Greensboro 109-51 on Monday. The Cougars opened the season with a 71-66 overtime road win at non-conference foe Eastern Mennonite University on Saturday.
