GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Averett University women's soccer team fell to Guilford College 4-0 on the road Saturday evening in non-conference action.
Guilford (3-3-1) benefitted from a pair of first half goals to take a 2-0 advantage into the half.
The Quakers added two more goals in the second half to take a 4-0 edge over Averett (0-8).
Senior
Kirsten Clancy and
Emily Meador paced the Cougars with two shots apiece, each landing a strike on frame, while sophomores
Jenifer Silva and
Camryn Lunsford each recorded shots on goals.
Averett returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Lynchburg, Virginia for a 4 p.m. meeting with Randolph College.
