  • The Series vs Ithaca: This will be the first-ever meeting between Averett and Ithaca.

  • Averett at a Glance: The Cougars enter this tournament 4-6 on the year in dual competition. They are coming off a successful weekend that started out with a 53-3 win over Saint Andrews University, the largest margin of victory in a dual in program history, and finished with a victory at the Builder Invitational, the first team tournament victory in program history. At the Builder Invitational, Averett saw 13 wrestlers place, five make it to their championship round and freshmen Isaiah Deck and George Moseley capture the titles at 165 and 184, respectively. In other news, juniors Sam Braswell and Brandon Woody again cracked the top 10 in both d3wrestle.com and Intermat rankings, with Braswell ranking fifth at 125 pounds and Woody ranking eighth at 141 pounds in both polls.
  • Ithaca at a Glance: The Bombers enter this dual 6-4 on the year in dual competition and are ranked 14th in the nation by Intermat. Last time out, Ithaca won the ECWC Championships on Jan. 18. In the most recent dual action, Ithaca went 2-2 at the National Duals.
  • Cortland at a Glance: The Red Dragons enter this event 6-2 on the year in duals competition. Last time out, Cortland also competed in the ECWC Championships, placing second behind Ithaca. The most recent dual action was Jan. 10-11 at the Budd Whitehill National Duals, where they went 3-2.
  • Nassau at a Glance: The Lions are coming off a NJCAA championship at the National Duals on Jan. 10-11, where they earned a 23-15 victory over Rochester Community and Technical College in the final.
