Averett at a Glance: Averett men's basketball is riding a 12-game winning streak the regular season finale at Piedmont College. The Cougars defeated Methodist University 70-62 on Tuesday to win on Senior Night. Averett clinched the USA South East Division regular season following its win  at Covenant on Feb. 15. It is the third East Division crown for the Cougars under Doino. Averett's current 12-game winning streak matches the program record set by the 2008-09 team, which won a record 12 games in a row, including three USA South Tournament victories and a win in the NCAA Tournament First Round.
