LYNCHBURG, Va. — Averett men's tennis swept non-conference foe Randolph College 9-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Averett (3-0) dominated Randolph (0-4) in doubles, taking all three matches. Junior Stan Martherus and freshman Jorge Figueroa, named the USA South Conference Doubles Team of the Week last Monday, earned an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles to highlight the Cougars' doubles wins.

The Cougars won all six singles matches in straight sets. Junior Thomas Woodcock's win at No. 3 singles clinched the match.

Averett hosts non-conference foe Virginia Wesleyan University on Sunday at the Averett Tennis Courts at 2 p.m.
