Senior Montre' Cash had 17 points off the bench, while sophomore Isaiah Jones had 16 points and junior Raymond Bullock III had 15 points and nine rebounds against the Monarchs. Averett's defense is among the best in the USA South. The Cougars are allowing only 66.7 points per game, which leads the league. Averett is holding opponents to a league-low 40.4 percent from the field. Averett also leads the USA South with an average of 15.3 offensive rebounds per game. Senior Timothy Henry has been a big part of that, averaging 2.6 offensive boards a contest, which ranks fifth among conference players.
N.C. Wesleyan at a Glance: N.C. Wesleyan had its four-game winning streak snapped with a 110-98 loss at Pfeiffer University on Saturday. In that game, A.J. Frye accounted for 43 points, while Damon McDowell had 29 points off the bench in the loss.
