ASHLAND, Va.  — The Averett University women's basketball program finished off the Randolph-Macon College Tip-off Classic with a 67-54 loss to Lebanon Valley College on Saturday afternoon inside Crenshaw Gymnasium. 

Averett (0-6) was led by the seniors Camryn Lunsford and Courtney Hunt. Lunsford had a team hig 16 points, five rebounds, three assists and five steals while Hunt tallied 10 points and five rebounds. Lunsford was named to the all-tournament team.

The Cougars trailed by 12 at halftime and got within single digits in the third quarter before Lebanon Valley (4-2) extended its lead back to double figures.

Lebanon Valley shot 46 percent from the field and was led by Kennedy Kuffa, who had 19 points. 

Averett is back in action Tuesday when it hosts conference foe Pfeiffer University with tip-off set for 7 p.m.
