Game Notes: Averett vs. William Peace
The Series: The Cougars are 9-6 all-time against William Peace. Averett has won seven of the last eight meetings with the Pacers, including both meetings last season and Friday's meeting this season.
Averett and William Peace's last meeting at a Glance: Averett  returns  to  action  at  home  against  William  Peace. The Cougars defeated William Peace 89-69 in Raleigh on Friday. A big first half helped Averett cruise to victory. Averett put together a strong defensive performance, which helped spark the offense early in the first half to set the tone. The Cougars made four steals and scored 11 points off turnovers in the first four minutes of the game while using a 14-0 run to take an 18-5 advantage by the 16-minute mark. With a 54-30 halftime lead built up, Averett had little trouble staying in front by double digits throughout the second half.
