The Series: These programs have met only twice dating back to 2019 with Oglethorpe taking both victories. The Stormy Petrels won the first meeting 6-2 and then followed up with an 8-5 victory in the second meeting.
Averett at a Glance: In the season opener the Cougars set numerous school records in a 12-5 victory over Centenary. Averett battled hard with Ferrum in its last outing but fell short and look to get back on the winning track. The Cougars started last year 0-6 before having the season cut short. This is the first year head coach Anthony Mackin will have four-year seniors as this is the fourth year of the programs history.
Oglethorpe at a Glance: The Stormy Petrels began its campaign with a loss at home against Greensboro College 14-5. Oglethorpe started last season 5-4 which included a season opening victory at home over the Cougars.
