The Series:  The Cougars have dropped 19 in a row to the Monarchs with the overall series sitting at 21-2 in favor of Methodist. Averett's last win was in 2000. 
Averett at a Glance: The Averett women's tennis program hits the road to take on Methodist. This is a veteran unit that head coach Bert Poole is very ecstatic about. The Cougars began last year 4-0 before seeing the season come to a halt. They did compete last Saturday at Sweet Briar in a tournament like format where Freshman Paula Ryhsen and sophomore Alejandra Garcia won their singles flights at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively, as the Cougars opened the season.
Methodist at a Glance: The Monarchs fell to Division II Mount Olive 0-7 in its season opener on the road. Methodist started last season 10-5 before the season was postponed.
